Westray is part of our Isles Network of Care (INOC) which involves 10 islands.  Each island has 24/7 nursing support and first responders on island.

The Westray GP also provides services to Papa Westray, visiting by ferry each Wednesday morning. Papa Westray has two nurse practitioners who provide 24/7 cover for a week at a time. They contact the GP when advice and support is required.

Community Link Practitioners are managed by Voluntary Action Orkney and they work in your GP Practice and are part of the Practice Team. Their role is to help you find out about and access services to improve your health and well being.

Services might include:

• accessing community groups in your local area
• advice about money and benefits
• coping as a carer
• housing.

The CLP can also put you in touch with services that can help you talk through your worries or problems such as isolation, loneliness or relationship difficulties.

Please note, to use the online ordering service you will be required to complete the Patient Services Registration Form. 

Requests for repeat prescriptions can also be made by dropping off your repeat slip to the surgery or telephoning the prescription order line on Tel: 01856 888038. 

Please allow 5 working days before collection. 

Repeat prescriptions can be collected during the times the receptionist is on duty.

You will be requested to see the doctor for review of repeat medication at regular intervals.
