There is a receptionist on duty in the Westray Surgery as follows:-
Monday to Friday
9.00 am – 1.00 pm
Monday, Wednesday and Friday
3.00 pm – 5.00 pm
The receptionist will contact the doctor for you during these times if he/she is not at the surgery.
At all other times an answering machine in the surgery will ask you to contact the Balfour Hospital (01856 888000) who will contact the doctor for you. The doctor will then ring you back as soon as possible.
If requesting a visit, which is not an emergency, please try to telephone the surgery before 10.30 a.m. so the doctor can plan his/her visits for the day.
Requests for repeat prescriptions can be made by dropping off your repeat slip to the surgery or telephoning the prescription order line on Tel: 01856 888038.
Please allow 5 working days before collection.
Repeat prescriptions can be collected during the times the receptionist is on duty.
You will be requested to see the doctor for review of repeat medication at regular intervals.
Child Health and Immunisation
When registering, please bring I.D. and your NHS medical card if you have one. You will be asked to complete a registration form together with a new patient questionnaire, allowing us to provide medical care while your medical records are transferred from your old practice to this one.
Westray Practice is an acute dispensing practice providing medical, immunisation and minor surgery services. There is full access to the premises and toilets for disabled patients and those in wheelchairs.
